Operating EngineersThe International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union #66 provides employment opportunities for over 7,000 men and women residing in 33 counties of Pennsylvania and three counties in Ohio. Operating engineers operate, maintain and repair heavy construction equipment, such as cranes, backhoes, loaders, scrapers and bulldozers for use in the construction of buildings, factories, roads, dams, power plants, pipelines and bridges.

RELATED TRAINING HOURS: 800-920 (4 YRS)
HOURS ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: 4,000-6,000 (4 YRS)

AVAILABLE CERTIFICATIONS: Class B CDL, First Aid and CPR, Hazardous Waste Operations, MSHA 24-Hour New Miner, Forklift Operator, D.O.T. Pipeline Operator Qualification, OSHA 10-Hour, National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, Signal Persons and Riggers, Class 7 Vehicle Inspection, SafeLand USA, and Infection Control Risk Assessment
