UPMC Hampton Ambulatory Care Center
UPMC Hampton Ambulatory Care Center Brings Large Hospital Services to Northern Pittsburgh Suburbs
The ultra-modern design includes both a unique structural open design as well as many high-end finishes. The design includes tinted glass that changes the look and reflection from day to night, aluminum storefront glazing, wood ceilings, curtainwall for natural light, phenolic stone finishes, and glass stair tower.
The facility was designed with no lateral bracing in order to decrease obstructed interior and exterior views and open the space. Attempting Silver LEED certification, the medical office building (MOB) project consists of three stories constructed of steel framing and masonry walls atop of a reinforced concrete basement.
The building consists of more than 35 exam rooms, blood draw stations, a bariatrics unit, ultrasound rooms, and labs and is located next to a senior care facility.
